A big part of creating this site was wanting to experiment and use open-source software; there's just so much out there, and so much that's good to boot. Using open-source material (under the GNU General Public License) allows us to do two major things: A. it allows us near limitless control over our website while B. keeping costs to a minimum. Keeping costs low allow us to bring you content without subscriptions and the like. Being proud of using all that we have, we'd like to take this opportunity to give a shout-out to everything that helped us create this site. Also following suit, that means that you'll see the "powered by" links under various modules and plugins; that's our way of giving thanks to the people who created them.
